Visual Designer

The global Expedia Media Studio team helps develop and execute brand marketing partnerships across TV, Digital, Mobile, and Offline media platforms. We are looking for an experienced, entrepreneurial, creative, and detailed oriented designer that will be responsible for creating and executing concepts, pitches, and solutions for our Expedia Group Media Studio team. This person will create compelling/best-in-class art and visual pieces for our brands and partners - for campaigns spanning across digital, interactive, print, video and environmental. Your work will be essential to elegantly communicate complex concepts to Expedia audiences. You can work in a variety of visual styles,
articulate design decisions, iterate quickly and collaborate seamlessly with creatives and business partners alike.
 

We’ll need you to be brimming with creative ideas, have a strong vision and very importantly, to excel when working at speed to get things done whilst maintaining a strong attention to detail. As part of a small team, you’ll be able to keep track of multiple projects at the same time and prioritize work against
schedules - while making sure the quality of your work stays at the highest level.


What you’ll do:

  • Working with a hardworking team of Designers, Creatives, Producers, Business Development Managers, and advertising partners, you will brainstorm and build innovative concepts for high-end bespoke media campaigns integrating the Expedia Group brands

  • Will work on high-end bespoke campaigns within our brand voice utilizing the latest technologies and trends into a cohesive, engaging marketing campaign sought to meet and exceed partner goals

  • Will advise and execute on all stages of design from conception and pitching through execution, working closely with the UX design lead

  • Excellent communicator who can coordinate among Media Studio, Sales, Operations, and Brand teams to build strategic solutions

  • Work with other Brand User Experience and Design teams around the globe to ensure adherence to brand guidelines and with a goal to better integrate Media Studio campaigns into the Brand sites

  • Thrive in a smaller, but dynamic and fun environment

  • Partner with external vendors and teams to bring design and content concepts to life


 

Who you are:

  • Experience in the conception, design and production of various online & offline items utilizing standard methodologies in design and UX while utilizing new technologies throughout

  • Demonstrable experience as a graphic designer with strong experience on social media in agency creative, in-house design, and/or graphic design

  • Fluency in Figma, Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator and working knowledge of After Effects & Final Cut Pro. Ability to create superior, original online and offline design

  • Strong design style including creative design solutions for integrating and blending brands in advertising campaigns

  • Strong conceptual skills

  • Solid understanding of client objectives, timelines, and the ability to take responsibility for them

  • Strong understanding and striking a balance of branding and adapting style guides, tone, and voice to creative campaigns

  • Ability to provide creative solutions and innovative thinking to partner campaigns

  • Understanding of and experience in online travel advertising, layout, colour theory and typography in both print and digital media

  • Experience integrating e-commerce and advertising online without impacting conversion

  • Ability to effectively lead complex projects/tasks of varying complexities and meet tight deadlines in a face-paced environment

  • Cohesively and efficiently worked within a creative team, collaborate with different departments, and take direction well

  • Organized, proactive, and highly motivated, with attention to detail in carrying out sophisticated projects and time-sensitive elements

  • A global approach and multicultural understanding in order to create relatable and diverse content

  • You are able to build content quickly and to a high standard

  • Ability to work with teams across multiple geographies

  • Excellent organization and communication skills

  • Degree in graphic design preferred however it is not essential
