Expedia Group is looking for a Principal Software Development Engineer to lead our path to exceptional developer experience; one through which we empower our partners to consume and build exceptional capabilities on the Expedia Group Platform.

Our team conceptualizes, designs, builds foundations, and defines standards and processes for our next-generation API, SDK, Developer Hub, and Tools, in collaboration with wide-spanning working groups. The timing is great as you would join us at inception and drive multiple initiatives to scale.

• Mentoring excellent engineers

• One or more of the following: Large scale systems, API management or governance, and modern frontend engineering on web

• Two or more of the following: Java, Kotlin, Node, TypeScript, and React - or similar technologies.

• (As a plus) Developer hubs, consoles, SDKs, and/or external developer communities

What You Will Do

• Define, develop, and champion technical standards, workflows, and guidelines for company-wide cross-cutting solutions in collaboration with company-wide working groups; for our external API and SDK

• Help us develop a strong engineering team and mentor incoming engineers

• Drive and inspire our first Expedia Group Developer Hub aimed at helping partners develop and launch excellent travel experiences with best-in-class developer experience
