Senior Paralegal, Commercial Contracts

The Expedia legal team is looking for a corporate Senior Paralegal to support its innovative B2B organization based in Seattle. In this role, you will provide legal support for the Expedia Partner Solutions and Retail Partnerships businesses, fast-paced global organizations providing travel technology solutions to partners across the globe. The role will be based in Seattle and report to Director, Legal.

What you’ll do:

  • Be responsible for all new business agreements across the organization leveraging templates and contract management systems

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Finance and Sales to understand business needs and draft, amend or terminate agreements accordingly

  • Create, manage, update, and maintain key legal support documents such as template agreements, clause banks, contract trackers and drafting guides

  • Provide support for the implementation and development of standard forms and their integration into contract management systems

  • Project managing new business and legal initiatives

  • Be responsible for the development and delivery of training modules on the contracting process and tool, and work with the business on pro-active education and planning

Who you are:

  • Bachelor's degree with Paralegal Certificate, and 3+ years paralegal experience with a top regional or national law firm or working in a dynamic in-house legal environment, or equivalent related professional experience

  • Someone with experience of supporting large, matrixed organizations in a transactional role

  • Highly organized, with a keen eye for detail and excellent work ethic

  • someone with experience working in an in-house environment who can appreciate the importance of gaining a commercial as well as legal understanding of issues

  • Someone with excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills

  • Someone with a track record of establishing strong working relationships with internal/external business clients
