What you will do:

• Collaborate with Product Managers, Design team, TPMs and other developers to accelerate mobile app development for our Flights Shopping Line of business. Our mobile app is used by 16 million people across the globe every month and users are growing in high double digits Y-O-Y

• Lead and mentor a team of smart app engineers, work with peers across the environment and collaborate on high impact business problems.

• Will design, develop and test standard software applications and related programs and procedures to ensure they meet design requirements.

• Apply strong software design principles, data structures and computer science fundamentals to write clean, maintainable and optimized code

• Will innovate and implement new insights to resolve sophisticated problems and prototype creative solutions to enable product MVP's.

• Work on user-centered research practices and data oriented methodologies to understanding customer needs

Who you are:

• Experience with a Bachelor's degree in a related Technical field; or Equivalent related professional experience

• Designing and Developing software using agile methodologies, strong version control practises and good grasp on release management

• Have developed iOS apps using Swift programming language that are available to be viewed in the App Store

• Quick learner, ability to pick up multiple languages, Familiarity with objective C, Android development/Kotlin and other relevant languages is a strong plus

• Prior experience as a Software Engineer applying new engineering principles to improve existing systems, implementing new features including leading sophisticated, well defined projects.

• Solid coding and code review skills. Understanding of clean code, asynchronous programming, unit tests, and auto-layout.

• Familiarity with associated technologies within the specialization as part of the wider ecosystem.

• Understanding of how projects fit together within the team.

• Ability to test, debug and monitor your own code.
