Senior Manager, Supplier Diversity

We will proactively identify and cultivate those relationships with certified diverse suppliers and are seeking a Senior Manager of Supplier Diversity to join us in the advancement of our goals.
This is an exciting, first-generation role, which will have immediate visibility to Expedia Group executives across numerous business divisions. Initially this role will not have direct reports, however, that opportunity exists in the future as the program grows. This role reports to the Head of Expedia Group’s Global Procurement Center of Excellence and will matrix into all Global Procurement categories as well of the Office of Expedia Group’s Chief Diversity Officer.
In this role, you will be looked upon to be a thought leader and to bring a strategic mindset that can operationalize the goals and program standards developed.
What you’ll do:
Build a roadmap for the first generation development, implementation, and management of a world class Supplier Diversity Program
Work with sourcing and other groups to develop and implement, measure and report on goals, progress and desired outcomes
Build and communicate supplier diversity policies and practices, including minimally: enhanced contract language, Tier 2 Diversity requirements, ongoing training and close collaboration with Expedia Group Diversity & Inclusion Program Office activities
Partner with Expedia’s Inclusion and Diversity team to align on efforts and advancement of the Supplier Diversity Program goals
Development of a vendor outreach to foster the growth of the Supplier Diversity Program
Lead communication and strategy in attracting MWBE, SBE’s, SDVOB, and new Minority suppliers to working with Expedia
Create a program that will reduce barriers of entry, increase diverse participation, and grow local economies
Serve as program central point of contact and subject matter expert
Provide supplier diversity information to internal sales teams in support of business development activities
Measure and report on supplier diversity goals and activity
Act as an advocate for Global Procurement across Expedia Group and via the Supplier Diversity Program
Who you are:
8+ years’ experience with procurement strategic sourcing
5+ years in supplier diversity program management
Experience with transformative program development and change management
High level competence in all core strategic sourcing disciplines
Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite
Bachelor’s degree in business, technology or related field or equivalent related professional experience
Experience in developing a supplier diversity program from the ground up
Works well under pressure and within short time constraints; able to work with high levels of ambiguity
Strong business acumen, analytical and organizational skills with a high degree of attention to detail
Strong process orientation with project management skills and proven program implementation experience
Excellent interpersonal, and written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work with a complex matrix of stakeholders and businesses
Ability to manage time to complete work effectively and efficiently
