Security Analyst, Vulnerability Management

The Senior Security Analyst at Expedia Group is a role that showcases your security expertise and allows you to impact the adoption of premier security practices and policies.

This role focuses on protecting the EG Brand and is an integral part of the global security team that is responsible for securing Expedia’s travel platform.

What you'll do:

• Your responsibilities include identification of systemic security issues based on analysis of vulnerability, configuration and source code review data

• You will be a trusted source who provides meaningful insights about Expedia's threat environment that improve risk posture

• You will support vulnerability management operations through collaboration, reporting and exposure analysis

• You will engage with teams to apply vulnerability management principles to organizational requirements

Who you are:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, business administration or a related technical field; or equivalent related professional experience

• A minimum of 4+ years of demonstrated experience, 3+ is preferred

• You are data driven, able to analyze data needed to optimally measure progress against the execution of objectives

• Should be able to convey technical information in an understandable way that generates results

• A troubleshooter who proactively removes roadblocks and pursues solutions to problems that stand in the way of vulnerability reduction

• Should possess effective project and program management skills (task identification, prioritization, and documentation)

• A self-starter with a willingness to learn and adapt with the pace of work environment

• Familiarity and experience with data collection and analysis using SQL, Python and/or other tools.

• Able to simplify security and technical concepts for application developers, business and technology teams

• Detail-oriented and proficient in written and oral communications

• Knowledge of components of vulnerability management, risk and compliance preferred ​
