Senior Program Manager

Our Program Managers are independent, creative, and ambitious. They love solving problems which involve a diverse set of teams. The Program Manager III is responsible for partnering with the Planning, Program Management, Product, and Engineering teams to facilitate the definition, design, and evolution of the organization’s workstreams, programs and initiatives. Lead internal and cross-organizational technical and operational programs associated with product planning processes, Develop Planning, Business Excellence, and Governance standards and best practices, enterprise planning tools, and provide operational oversight.

As a hybrid member of the Program Management team, also responsible for leading cross-org programs and other key critical initiatives!

What you’ll do:

  • Lead multiple programs/initiatives working with teams across different time zones

  • Lead and participate in all program lifecycle phases including project scoping, planning, discovery, development, testing, release, and post-release

  • Ability to identify risks and issues while developing develop contingency plans throughout the program life cycle

  • Collaborate with internal business teams, affiliates, and users, facilitating and documenting program and communication plan

  • Provide ongoing planning expertise and support while improving processes.

  • Provide ongoing communication of status and risks to management internally as needed and garner support for changes in scope, schedule, or budget

  • Lead program meetings focused on status reporting, problem resolution, feedback, and fostering open communication within the team on project planning and execution

  • Develop an in-depth understanding of planning business model and operations

  • Work across matrixed areas of EG and influence teams to drive accountability for project outcomes, on time and on budget

  • Build and cultivate critical relationships with internal partners

  • Help teams address problem to resolution

  • Ensure stable and efficient execution of all functions across Marketplace Management by working closely with business partners to drive adoption and implementation of processes and programs

  • Think holistically to find opportunities around policies/ processes to increase efficiency across organizational boundaries.

  • Assists with a whole systems approach to analyzing issues by ensuring all components (structure, people, process, and technology) are identified and tracked

Who you are:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related technical field; or equivalent related professional experience

  • 5+ years of project/program management experience

  • 7+ years’ experience in the technology sector

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and technical competence

  • Detail oriented, yet able to look at a wide array of choices & identify what truly matters

  • Bias for results and decision making vital to address bottlenecks, lead critical issues that arise, anticipate and make tradeoffs, and encourage behavior to improve business benefit

  • Proven record of navigating a sophisticated yet fast-paced organization with a variety of teams working from multiple global locations

  • Ability to handle multiple priorities with flexibility and accountability

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills combined with excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Effective listening and consultative skills

  • Ability to work occasional nights and weekends as required by project timelines and demands

  • Project management experience working with agile development teams in a fast-paced environment

  • High degree of competency with project management and methodology including scoping, issue & risk identification, general management, tracking dependencies, user acceptance testing, and communication of overall project status

  • Experience working with product management teams, including coordination of multiple internal workstreams including development teams, marketing, sales, finance, customer support, legal and analytics

  • Ability to help solve exciting business/technology problems

  • Experience in working cross functionally to drive the high-level solutions as well as resolve lower level operational issues when needed with experience translating between business and technology

  • Knowledge of travel industry preferred and previous experience
