  We are seeking a Software Development Engineer to join our team! The team's responsibilities span operations, user-facing applications, and internal-facing tools using Java, Kotlin, JavaScript, and Python. We own our application life cycle from conception to retirement, prioritizing quality and reliability everywhere along the way.

  What you’ll do:

  • Work within a team of experienced software engineers, building high quality and performant software which powers the front-door experience for our customers, as well as building and maintaining tools for our internal developer community.

  • Your aptitude to learn quickly and explore and solve new problems is vital to your success.

  • As well as feature development work, you will work with all members of the team on group design review sessions, pairing on problems, and in investigating production issues. Our team has a strong focus on maintaining both breadth and depth of skills, which requires constant learning and sharing.

  Who you are:

  • Demonstrate experience using Java or Javascript for web applications. Some experience with Kotlin would be beneficial

  • Knowledge of Javascript frameworks / libraries (React and Redux) or Java frameworks (Spring) a plus

  • Knowledge of SQL and the ability to read and understand data models and relational databases

  • Understand browser/web server communication and concepts

  • Experience supporting the infrastructure and deployment of web applications a plus

  • Experience working with AWS products (e.g. EC2, ECS, Kinesis) a plus

  • Excellent problem solving and strong communication skills

  • BA/BS degree in Software Engineering or equivalent experience
