The Business Performance team is an essential part of the Data and AI Platform Systems organisation with Expedia Group. The team is responsible for building scalable platform solutions to allow dynamic self serve of business metrics across EG. As we as supporting business critical pipelines to house and transform business performance data. The business performance team form an essential input into various systems across the company including Analyst reporting, CRM tools, and Machine Learning products. We have a diverse technology stack ranging from Java, Qubole, Hive, K-stream apps, Spark, and various other Big Data technologies.

As a Technical Program Manager, you will be involved in many aspects of software development for the team including collaborating with stakeholders and customers to define requirements, participating in technical designs, managing the life cycle of various data products, and partnering with product and engineering leaders to drive the agile development process. We are a fun-loving, collaborative team that aims to tackle challenges related to delivering intelligence and real-time data insights to our customers!

As a Technical program manager II with us, you will independently drive execution of technical projects within or across a small set of teams. You’ll also act as a force multiplier to free the team to focus on technical delivery. As you work with your technical teams, you will identify and resolve ways to improve the overall performance of the programs you support.

Who you are:

You’ll be a fit for this role if you have-

• 2-4 years of relevant professional experience
• Experience with distributed systems
• A good understanding of Big Data tools sets
• SQL experience
• A Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience
• Strong organizational skills
• The ability to translate complex technical projects into a clear roadmap

What you’ll do:

• Apply your knowledge of the software development lifecycle and various agile practices
• Lead Agile ceremonies and build an lean effective team environment
• Contribute to customer research and define feature sets
• Contribute to technical designs and discussion
• Assist with requirement gathering and definition
• Maintain project plan and documentation
• Identify, communicate and resolve program risks and issues as appropriate
