Product Line Strategy, Senior Strategy Analyst

Expedia's Strategy team is looking for a Senior Strategy Analyst to help us deliver the best travel experience on the web. Do you want to help people go places? Come travel with us!

In this role, you will bring skills in critical thinking and detailed analyses to help us solve the next generation of online travel challenges. Sitting within the Marketplace organization, this role supports the Expedia Lodging (Hotels and Vacation Rentals) product line in setting objectives and priorities, including providing product direction, investment priorities, progress reporting, competitive analysis, and long-term planning.

The Strategy team works with local and global teams to set strategy and drive business goals. You will play a key role in leading company-wide strategic projects while working across with senior members of the Marketing, Product, Technology, Account Management, and Finance teams and senior executives. We will help you grow as a problem solver, relationship builder, and communicator with skills to drive projects successfully across a broad range of topics and personalities.

What you'll do:

• Help craft and deliver Product Line strategic plans and resulting roadmaps using data, imagination, and understanding of customer experience, industry, and ecommerce
• Lead strategic projects and investigations to drive the business forward
• Establish effective relationships with key internal partners
• Frame strategic tradeoffs both orally and in writing, while considering inputs from others - especially differing viewpoints
• Work as part of a team of strategists embedded with product owners and technologists

Who you are:

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business, or a related technical field preferred or equivalent related professional experience
• 3+ years in consulting, product management, or corporate strategy preferred
• Excellent quantitative, analytical and critical thinking skills
• A demonstrated record of independently defining and conducting key analyses with light oversight
• Excellent oral and written communication skills to communicate issues, including experience communicating complex information to senior leaders
• Passion for big challenges and a good sense of humor
