Senior Manager, User Experience Design

The Supply Partner Experience team at Expedia works to ensure outstanding and accessible user experiences for our supply partners (primarily hotel and vacation rental property owners)! We work to empower our partners to attract and delight travelers. Enabling easy onboarding onto our platform, providing management tools, and delivering personalized insights and recommendations helps them succeed in the travel marketplace.

As a Senior Manager you will support a hardworking team of dedicated product designers and work together with product managers, researchers, content designers, and engineers and other product roles. Your mission is to improve supply partners’ experiences related to rates and availability in the marketplace and property settings. 

What you’ll do: 

  • Drive the creation of groundbreaking experience vision, strategy, and success metrics at program level, and connect related initiatives

  • Facilitate roadmap discussions among peers and leaders with varied perspectives to agree on shared goals and outcomes

  • Help your team apply and adapt design and research processes to untangle exciting (but hefty) usability challenges

  • Create communication materials using storytelling and persuasion techniques that build trust with partners and establish long-term relationships

  • Support others to grow professionally by mentoring on approaches for clear, concise, and organized communication

  • Foster an environment for team efficiency, where strengths are known and built upon, and learning is shared to build capacity

  • Embody and exemplify inclusive, innovative, candid, and trusting culture in your team

  • Build your dream team. Attract, select, and lead diverse and highly skilled talent

Who you are:

  • Formally line-managed multiple experience designers

  • History in experience design with portfolio emphasizing product thinking and experience strategy achievements

  • Demonstrated experience working with specialist roles like research, content designers, experience engineers, business analysts, and similar

  • Examples of leading and helping overcome change and formulating brand-new expectations and direction
