Market Insights Senior Specialist - Nordics

Expedia Group are hiring a Nordics Market Insights Manager for all our key brands including Expedia, Hotels.com, Vrbo and Ebookers, reporting to the EMEA Market Insights Lead.

Not all markets are the same, the way we live and travel is different across markets around the world, therefore it is key that we understand local customers to achieve local relevance and global scale. The role is to be the custodian of traveller empathy for Nordics travelers, and distill actionable insights to the rest of Expedia Group teams.

What you’ll do:

  • Generate customer (traveller), partner (supplier), market & competitor insights to drive the Nordics agenda

  • Build actionable insights in the form of hypothesis and problem statements, that inform activations and strategies for the market

  • Monitor and analyse market share movements and identify related root causes

  • Define supply needs to meet traveller requirements for all lines of business incl. flights, accommodation (hotels/holiday rentals), packages, car hire, activities

  • Localise campaigns crafted by the global brand and customer marketing teams, ensuring that the language, tone and content meet the local traveller sentiment

  • Provide product analysis based on use cases for local travellers, feeding the global product organisation with requirements for locally relevant improvements, tools and features

Who you are:

  • Strong analytical approach with high attention to detail and ability to tackle problems

  • You are confident in manipulating and analysing data using different databases

  • Demonstrated ability to work with multiple teams in a large matrix organization to drive execution against projects

  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills

  • You are either native Swedish/Norwegian/Danish/Finnish and fluent in English
