Director, Technology Learning Academy

The Director, Technology Learning Academy will be responsible in building strategic skills for today and tomorrow, and making them available to all, from entry level to expert; create a best-in-class development framework for our technologist and engineers and building a vibrant learning culture at EG.


What you'll do:

  • Design a multi-platform reskilling and upskilling strategy to support the future of work for Technology across all roles and skillsets

  • Partner with Business, Talent and HR leaders to design programs that increase the vitality of our workforce pipelines and enable business goals. Set expansion strategy to scale globally

  • Provide thought leadership on state-of-the-art reskilling practices and certifications

  • Proactively engages with external faculty 

  • Increase adoption of EGs learner experience and innovating to improve learner experience and ensure the right content is delivered to the right learner at the right time in the right format

  • Design and lead learning strategy for non-employees, including interns, job candidates, suppliers, vendors, family members, etc, eventually touching thousands of learners outside EGs four walls

  • Continually assess the capability needs of the organization and align learning priorities accordingly

  • Establish clear external partnership strategy to optimize learning outcomes

  • Engage leaders of all disciplines to anticipate long term training, upskilling, and reskilling needs

  • Define measurement framework and key performance indicators for skills-based talent practices

Who you are:

  • 10+ years of experience in learning and development and/or organizational capability building

  • Experience building, designing, and leading reskilling initiatives in a large organization

  • Deep understanding of the talent/learning management lifecycle

  • Experience building, designing, and leading a learning agenda for technology and engineering

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate and consult with senior leaders, business partners, internal customers, and colleagues to drive business results

  • Strong communication (written and verbal), consulting, stakeholder management, relationship management and influencing skills at all levels in the organization

  • System thinking skills, with the ability to integrate the overall learner experience across content domains and systems

  • Knowledge of reskilling/upskilling tools and external partners

  • Demonstrated ability to drive innovation and change to improve efficiencies and the effectiveness of learning solutions

  • Able to build and manage teams as well as work in a matrixed environment
