Senior Manager - Payment Strategic Partnerships
Expedia Group’s Group Payments (EGP) team’s charter is to provide frictionless, secure and efficient payment experiences for our travelers and partners. For this, we provide a broad range of payment options and currencies to our travelers & suppliers. EGP works closely with external payment partners to enable these payment options and experience.
This Senior Manager will be responsible for a portfolio of payout partners, including their commercial, operational, and technical performance.
You will have a solid understanding of the strategic direction, priorities, capabilities, and opportunities of each assigned partner. You will look for opportunities to bring significant value to the business and the partnership.
You will partner very closely with the leaders of Payments Product, Payments Business Intelligence, Payments Operations, Payments Technology, and several Finance, eCommerce, Demand & Supply partner stakeholders.
You will drive the adoption of payout products with supplier-facing teams. You will lead the resolution and prevention of partner related performance issues or execution roadblocks
What you’ll do:
Leverage payments knowledge and partner capabilities to drive impactful results
Lead the strategic alignment, roadmap prioritization and execution with these partners
Drive commercial deals from concept to key terms to contract signature
Lead the resolution of partner issues that adversely affect platform performance
Lead the discovery, recommendation and prioritization of partner or industry requirements
Establish cadence and processes to programmatically manage partner performance
Host quarterly business reviews, workshops, and cross-functional calls
Educate internal stakeholders on payments industry, partner capabilities and opportunities
Partner with supplier facing leaders to increase product adoption, build value proposition
Who you are:
Have the passion and drive to create significant value through strong partnerships
3 to 5 years of experience in e-Commerce consumer/B2B Payments
Functional experience in partnership development, commercial negotiation
Strong business acumen, a history of identifying and execute commercial opportunities
Ability to get things done with a wide range of stakeholders including technology teams
Navigate through complexities, leading with simplification and executing with agility
Collaborate and bring others along, create clarity in priorities and accountabilities
Experience in working with an ecommerce payment processor, acquiring banks, fintech, payment card brand or the payment function within a large ecommerce merchant
Proficiency in multiple languages is a plus but is not required
Ability to lead without formal authority and ability to coach junior level team members
