Are you looking to join a fast growing, industry-leading travel advertising team? Are you passionate about the intersection of ecommerce and advertising? Does leading a rapidly growing and multifaceted sales organization energize you? Reporting to the Global Vice President of Business Development, this Senior Director of Business Development is responsible for leading the global sales efforts for Expedia Group Media Solution’s lodging performance product, Travel Ads across our portfolio of brands.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead a large global business development team focused on the advertising needs of our lodging partners

  • Ensure a team of multiple direct reports achieves annual financial targets, driving consistent YoY growth in the lodging vertical

  • Set and drive the team's business and people strategy across multiple, global territories

  • Develop and drive the sales strategy through collaborative working relationships with Product, Sales Operations and our Lodging Supply teams

  • Work closely with Product and Engineering on our lodging performance product improvements and new features.

  • Collaborate with Sales and Tech Ops to improve customer and seller support

  • Recruit, hire and develop the next generation of Expedia leaders on your team, actively working to promote talent

  • Create an inclusive and collaborative climate that fosters personal investment and excellence by empowering teams across different cultures and regions

Who you are:

  • A dynamic digital media sales leader with deep knowledge of CPC auction mechanisms to develop strategies to increase revenue and improve return on ad spend

  • An expert leader of geographically dispersed, multifaceted sales teams.

  • Experienced in operating, supervising and optimizing sales engagement and process

  • Experience leading partners conversations at VP level and above

  • Possess strong analytic skills to use metrics to uncover new opportunities and/or gaps in order to grow and scale the business

  • Have a strong propensity to take initiative and thrive with change

  • Able to travel and navigate multiple time zones effectively

  • A thought leader in the digital media and/or travel industry

Experience and Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field; master’s degree preferred

  • Minimum of 14 years of demonstrated success in a Business Development role

  • Minimum 7 years of proven experience developing strong leaders and managing diverse teams
