Our Project Management specialists work within the Marketplace Division within Expedia, where we lead multi-functional, cross-brand and cross-business teams.
Our team focuses on leading and delivering projects and working with project teams across EG (Expedia Group) Marketplace Lodging – specifically for complex technical projects and programs with dependencies and teams.
What you’ll do:
Lead increasingly technically complex projects and programs for Lodging -integrating timelines and turning points, identifying areas of alignment or dependency and evaluating the progress and adjusting (e.g., to task order or timeline) to keep the project on track.
Ensure excellence in communication across projects and teams - keeping relevant Stakeholders, Leadership teams, Project teams etc. aware of progress, dependencies, blockers, issues and risks in meetings, documentation, reports etc.
Lead proactive identification and mitigation of issues and risks. Leverages experience to anticipate risks in advance of impacts.
Flex to suit requirements and project team needs – from project planning to coaching on retrospectives and agile tools that will help team efficiency.
Lead implementation teams and ensure the execution of new insights or approaches. Identify areas for process improvements throughout delivery.
Stay current on trends and serve as a specialist on the software development lifecycle and agile engineering practices, coaching others when needed.
Who you are:
Has project delivery in action, got the battle scars and with examples of turning projects around, leading change within delivery and the ability to pick something up and just run with it.
Deep understanding and hands on experience of different project management methodologies – able to run dependency mapping workshops one minute and then to focus on agile team health and prioritizing tasks for teams the next.
Has experience with ecommerce technology and mobile teams.
Proactive, go get what’s next attitude and able to roll up your sleeves and do what needs to be done to move the project forwards.
