Program Manager III (Consumer Product)
As a Program Manager on our team, you will be responsible for partnering with the Planning, Program Management, Product, and the Marketplace Enablement Teams to facilitate the definition, design, and evolution of the organization’s integrated planning approach. Lead internal and cross-organizational technical and operational programs associated with product planning processes, including but not limited to alignment with EG Planning, cross business unit (x-BU), Marketplace and other external planning teams. Develop planning standards, enterprise planning tools, and provide operational oversight. As a hybrid member of the Program Management team, also responsible for leading cross-org programs and other key central initiatives.
Ability to lead several programs, with multiple teams, across multiple time zones
Work with the organization to define the program scope, resources, track, and plan for delivery
Lead and participate in all program lifecycle phases including project planning, discovery, development, testing, release, and post-release
Ability to identify risks and issues while developing develop contingency plans throughout the program life cycle
You will collaborate with internal business teams, affiliates, and users, facilitating and documenting program and communication plan
Provide ongoing planning expertise and support while improving processes.
Provide ongoing communication of status and risks to management internally as needed and garner support for changes in scope, schedule, or budget
Lead program meetings focused on status reporting, problem resolution, feedback, and fostering open communication within the team on project planning and execution
Develop an in-depth understanding of planning business model and operations
Work with several teams across matrixed areas of EG and influence teams to drive accountability for program and planning outputs
Build and cultivate critical relationships with internal partners
Ensure stable and efficient execution of all functions across Marketplace and Yield Management by working closely with business partners to drive adoption and implementation of processes and programs
Think holistically to find opportunities around policies/ processes to increase efficiency across organizational boundaries.
Assists with a whole systems approach to analyzing issues by ensuring all components (structure, people, process, and technology) are identified and accounted for.
Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred
3+ years of project/program management experience along with 5+ years in the technology sector
Bias for results and decision making vital to address bottlenecks, identify critical issues that arise, anticipate and make tradeoffs, and encourage behavior to improve business benefit
Navigating a sophisticated yet fast-paced organization with a variety of teams working from multiple global locations.
Ability to handle multiple priorities with a high degree of flexibility and accountability
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills combined with excellent written and oral communication skills and effective listening and consultative skills
Project management experience working with agile development teams in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency with project management and methodology including scoping, issue & risk identification, general management, tracking dependencies, user acceptance testing, and communication of overall project status
Experience of working with product management teams, including coordination of multiple internal workstreams including development teams, marketing, sales, finance, customer support, legal and analytics
Experience working across teams to resolve high-level solutions as well as resolve lower-level operational issues when needed with experience translating between business and technology
Knowledge of travel industry preferred and previous experience with travel technology products and operations strongly desired
