This Senior Director, Talent Acquisition will motivate change, contribute to and influence the future of the wider Global Talent Acquisition team and Expedia Group’s overall business strategy.

As Head of Commercial & Corporate Functions Recruiting, you will be leading a high-functioning cross-regional team and working with senior leaders across our Commercial & Corporate Functions (all non-technology) divisions. You'll be driving recruiting processes that lead to identifying, interviewing, and hiring expert talent that will set the standard for performance.
 

As such we are seeking a passionate and ground-breaking change-agent and builder who values partnership and problem solving and has both the thought leadership and executional ability to lead and inspire change across a highly matrixed global organization.

What You’ll Do:

  • Design, launch and scale a robust, sourcing and attraction strategy for focused on Commercial & Functions hiring

  • Development of Sourcing, Recruiter and Talent Acquisition Business Partner excellence. Devise local hiring strategies that are fit for purpose spanning the most diverse and geographically dispersed business areas for Expedia Group. Translate hiring needs into recruitment strategy plans, and set clear expectations for the timeframe and partnership needed

  • As a true value-coach, build partner relationships with leadership team members and their respective leadership teams. Guide hiring leaders on strategic staffing issues including industry talent trends and market competition

  • Drive workforce planning and capacity planning, optimize the team to deliver against full hiring demand whilst ensuring efficiency targets are being met by the organization. Track against these metrics and report out to leadership, communicate impact and identify further opportunities

  • Organizational Design & Development: build capability, hire, retain and coach team members, including performance management and operational excellence

  • Partner effectively with People (HR) business partners to ensure a high-quality experience for hiring managers, the hiring team and candidates

  • Build and convey EG’s employer brand as a company that prioritizes diversity, equity and inclusiveness from both an internal employee perspective and a commercial business perspective

Who You Are:

  • Deep, global talent acquisition leadership experience, having built a sourcing capability which has increased the pipeline and hiring at mid-career levels. Experience recruiting for commercial functions and a global team of 50+, preferred

  • Experience and understanding of diversity talent strategies to attract, engage, support and hire diverse groups of people at an enterprise level, globally

  • You are an exceptionally strong operator on a global scale, across globally dispersed teams. Using technology and organizational change to continuously optimize efficiencies and push the boundaries of what is possible

  • Demonstrable experience articulating a plan and translating it into an executable strategy, leading with data and insights

  • Large scale program management ability to drive solutions across a global organization with multiple functional partners

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to translate metrics, research, and external and internal trends into creative practices, to drive decision making and measure success

  • A Storyteller: able to build and communicate clearly a vision and strategy. Skilled thought-leader, confident with influencing others
