HR Operations Analyst (US Shift)

India - Haryana - Gurgaon


In this role, you will be a part of Global HR Operations team for US region and aligned in a US shift where the team is responsible for providing simple, scalable, and efficient core HR services to all US Expedia employees. This includes delivering front line customer support, processing high volume transactions, and improving many aspects of the employee experience. 

As the HR Process Analyst, you will provide direct support for employee related activities in Workday with a focus on delivering an outstanding customer experience, processing transactions with high quality and proactively identifying ways to improve service delivery.

You will be a key member responsible for the daily administration of Expedia’s leave of absence programs. This role will focus on leave of absence and payroll administration, assist with other benefits administration, and provide related employee, HR, and vendor support. Shift alignment would be done basis US region and primarily the shift would start around 6PM IST.

What you'll do:
  • Manage outsourced leave of absence vendor interactions and support related internal inquiries
  • Serve as leave of absence subject matter expert familiar with leave of absence and disability provisions
  • Respond to employee and HR inquiries and escalations related leave benefit programs primarily via email, and occasionally by telephone and in person as appropriate
  • Monitor and assist with employee benefits eligibility, application, and related vendor management functions; troubleshoot and assist in resolution of issues
  • Update and maintain organization benefit program processes and documentation where appropriate; assist with written and online program documentation and communications to support employees and HR functions
  • Serve as liaison between company and third parties including health and insurance suppliers, leave administrators, and carriers; trend and address issues
  • Analyze LOA programs and plans to optimize and re-engineer for streamlined effectiveness and reduce administrative burden
  • Coordinate employee onsite, location, and remote benefits events and activities, such as educational workshops and webinars.
  • Process various internally administered leave functions including Medicare requests and child support orders.
  • Manage incoming third party requests, benefits department mail, and other miscellaneous inquiries
  • Support and/or manage other benefit programs and other department functions and initiatives as needed, including Total Rewards special projects and global initiatives.
Who you are:
  • Degree in Human Resources or related field; or equivalent related professional experience.
  • Minimum 4-5 years leave and payroll administration experience in a fast paced/changing and high growth environment
  • Detail oriented experience working with data, calculations, and Excel required
  • Experience in a corporate automated benefits environment preferred
  • Workday experience desired
  • Organized approach to working in a multi-task position with excellent attention to detail and deadlines with a sense of urgency; accuracy of pay related benefits calculations and learning agility are essential
  • Learning agility is critical
  • Demonstrates a high level of employee service and support, balanced with promotion of online self-education tools
  • Able to execute assignments in collaborative environment, and manage programs and suppliers as needed
  • Strong technical orientation is preferred, with the ability to work both independently and as a team player
  • Ability to express ideas clearly in both written and oral communication; strong written communication and employee presentation skills important
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
