Senior Program Manager - Engineering
We are looking for a results-oriented, and enthusiastic Senior Technical Program Manager to lead a strategically significant area on our Conversation Platform, Contact Center as a Service team, who actively tries to understand the needs of Expedia’s businesses, customers, the travel agents, the implications to the underlying technology and balance these needs as you lead a project throughout the product development lifecycle. Qualified individuals will have a real passion for delivering creative solutions in a fast-paced agile development environment and possess strong program management skills to shepherd the work you're doing from definition to deployment.
What you'll do:
Take ownership in driving product and new feature development through every stage of the agile software development lifecycle
Collaborate with technical partners, product and development teams as well as internal technical teams to design technical solutions and provide detailed specifications that satisfy scalability, reliability, and performance goals
Lead project management mitigation of any risks to the project scope or schedule, and provide status updates
Lead discussion of lessons learned, and drive continuous improvement into all project processes
Bring your talent at eliminating roadblocks for the team and anticipating issues based on previous experiences
Who you are:
Bachelor's of Science in Computer Science or a related technical field; or equivalent related professional experience
8-10 years of Program Management or Technical Product Management experience in a professional technology organization, preferably e-commerce
Detail oriented, yet able to see a wide array of choices & identify what truly matters, possession of problem solving skills is a requirement
Have ability to look at solutions in unconventional ways, see opportunities to innovate and execute against them
Excellent problem resolution skills; a passion for data with a rigorous approach to analysis
Excellent collaboration at all levels, with crisp and compelling verbal and written communication skills including presentation, and listening skills with the ability to present complex technical information clearly and concisely to varying audiences
Consistently able to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, prioritizing engineering decisions effectively, and thriving in a dynamic and complex environment
High degree of competency with project management including, Agile methodology, identifying and handling risks, tracking dependencies and landmarks, while communicating overall project status
High energy and a positive outlook with the passion to make things better at every opportunity
Understand technical issues and business impact, and present the details with data to management
