Sr. Manager – Start-up Programs

The New Partner Solutions team within Expedia for Businesses is responsible for identifying new products, services, and capabilities to bring to our partners, incubating and accelerating high potential opportunities, and setting winning go-to-market models for new offerings. We are hiring for a Sr. Manager, New Solutions Partner Insights for this team! 

As the Sr. Manager – Start-up Programs, you are responsible for setting our start-up programs strategy, managing our start-up programs including relationships with participating start-ups, and designing new programs.


What you’ll do:

  • Strategic Evaluation: Evaluate various start-up program constructs for strategic fit with EG

  • Program Design: Co-design start-up programs including impact programs, accelerators, marketplaces, etc.

  • Program Management: Manage start-up relationships and portfolio including but limited to mentoring, commercial connections within EG, co-solutioning, etc.

  • Influence product strategy: Lead problem solving for go-to-market models, product visioning and tech feasibility with product leads and business owners across EG regarding our start-up relationships

  • Identify incubation opportunities: Analyze trends from innovation insights, external market listening and the startup ecosystem to spot new solutions for incubation


Who you are:

  • Bachelors' degree in a related field; or equivalent related professional experience

  • Master's in Business Administration/Science; or equivalent related professional experience is preferred

  • 5+ years of experience in innovation, start-up portfolio management, start-up acceleration, or equivalent

  • Strong strategic and critical thinking skills; ability to drive projects & workstreams to successful outcomes autonomously

  • Proven relationship management skills

  • Ability to deliver results through a matrixed environment

  • Very strong interpersonal skills at all levels; excellent influencing and relationship building skills as well as experience working with senior management

  • Experience working cross-culturally with ability to adapt personal style to different teams, environments, and time zones
