Sales Development Representative

The Sales Development Representative (SDR) primary responsibility is generating net new qualified leads for the MDM Team via lead list creation, data scraping, organic search and targeted outreach via email and phone. Their focus is high-quality Vacation Rental properties (i.e. right place, right time) for Vrbo, Part of Expedia Group’s fast-growing global customer base. By doing so, we will drive acquisition of net new suppliers and promote supply growth. 

Our team mission is to acquire the best inventory in the world through targeted prospecting and value-based selling.  

What You’ll Do:

  • Prospect for net new supply, with a focus on high demand areas to match traveler demand
  • Deliver high-quality leads to help our sales team achieve and exceed sales targets
  • Develop a contact & call strategy to achieve and exceed targets
  • Daily outreach using a discovery, value pitch and compelling closing statements to gain commitment
  • Introduce prospects to Vrbo’s Market Development Sales team and facilitate handoff
  • Execute effectively against all targets, goals and strategic objectives set by leadership
  • Become familiar with key demand and supply indicators, economic data, trends, and competitive information within the Vacation Rental marketplace

Who you are:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent related professional experience
  • 1+ years of experience in account management, sales, or OTA market management
  • Success in this role means bringing a robust ability to read and sell to any audience, the ambition to achieve and succeed, a strong work-ethic, and a competitive nature
  • Mastery of sales techniques including cold calling, objection handling, quarterly planning, pipeline management, sales forecasting
  • Excellent organization and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Salesforce, and Tableau
