We work across all EG brands and all key markets globally!

As Creative Director of Video and TV your primary focus will be on developing video content, everything from short-form and news-based content to engage audiences in social media to shorter-form digital video and series. You will bring the world’s places and experiences to life in original ways to CTV/OTT shows and films that are inspiring, provocative, funny, moving, and more. In the nearer term, video for digital distribution will be the emphasis, though we also envision developing more ambitious projects with longer timetables.

What you’ll do:

  • Build support for securing resources to execute brand video strategies

  • Oversee the production, using both in-house and external resources, with an emphasis on driving outstanding work that is distinctive and memorable for consumers

  • Partner with brand marketing and creative strategy as well as channel owners (e.g., CRM, social) to develop and produce video content that supports campaigns or other activities

  • Working with cross functional partners to develop and implement publishing and distribution plans

  • Develop ideas for partnerships and licensing, assess viability of options and lead conversations that develop ideas into agreements

  • Build and maintain relationships with production companies, channels, and distribution partners to evaluate, co-develop, and pitch video, TV, and film ideas

  • Build operational processes needed for the production, publishing, and distribution of video content

  • As needed, serve as executive producer of video content

  • Partner with colleagues on generating content ideas across all media types, including text, photography, and audio

  • Define success metrics for video content and partner with Analytics and others to ensure we can measure and optimize for performance

Who you are:

  • 10+ years’ experience developing, creating, and managing the creation of video content at a media property, production company, or agency. Some experience creating content for commercial (non-media) brands helpful but not required

  • Excellent command of video storytelling that drives engagement, a strong eye for visuals that transcend the norm and deep knowledge of video best practices by length, channel, etc

  • A passion for travel and travel content with a point of view on what works, what doesn’t, and where there are opportunities to address unmet needs to inspire, inform, and entertain travelers. Some experience developing content in the travel vertical preferred but not required

  • Relationships with talent, agents, production companies, channels, distribution partners, and other experts

  • Experience with digital publishing and its tools preferred

  • Experience building and managing teams. Although this role will not have immediate direct reports, as the team grows this role would take on people management

  • Proficiency with PowerPoint/Keynote and the ability to build and present decks that effectively sell creative ideas

  • Experience using Premiere preferred

  • Ability to wear an operational hat as well as a creative one, keeping an eye on processes, budgets, legal requirements, etc.
