Director, Product Management – Data & Intelligence
Expedia Group is building the world’s Travel Platform. At the heart of this, we are building a conversational platform that automates the most challenging journeys and connects our traveler and supplier marketplace. Our Virtual Agents and Contact Center as a Service use AI to learn new capabilities and continuously improve through network effects.
We are looking for a Director of Product Management with a scientific mindset and a passion for building extraordinary customer and developer experiences. This leader will be at the forefront of technology, helping to define Expedia’s data & intelligence platform with a focus on conversation and contact center domains.
What you'll do:
Create product vision and drive the roadmap, execution, and strategy for a Portfolio or Program of products, projects, and initiatives
Partner closely with engineering, UX, and business leaders to deliver solutions that satisfy customer experience, business, and technology goals
Represent the voice of the customer to internal stakeholders; A natural design thinker that can synthesize requirements into a common set of platform and services capabilities, writing very clear, thorough and detailed user stories for complex features and product sets
Build scalable architecture allowing other teams to rapidly enable conversation features while maintaining overall conversation quality
Define a set of success metrics to measure customer satisfaction and business impact and be able to utilize them in decision-making
Use excellent judgment in prioritizing between focusing on existing versus new customers and between features, architectural improvements and operational excellence
Stay on top of customer preferences, technology trends, and market demand
Lead the organization through change, evolution, and growth; the right leader will evolve and scale the organization along with the business
Who you are:
Strong technical skills with a sound understanding of API-First systems
Experience in thinking, building, scaling platforms. Experience in data platforms a big plus
Previous success leading the complete roadmap development, ownership, and execution
Experience driving a program which is a complex portfolio of Product and Tech/Engineering initiatives
Natural bar-raiser: curious and passionate, with a desire to continuously learn more, which you use to understand basic business operations and the organizational levers that drive profitable growth
Bias to action, being familiar with methods and approaches needed to get things done in a collaborative, lean and fast-moving environment
Responds effectively to complex and ambiguous problems and situations
Leads mostly with questions rather than opinions, thriving on the opportunity to own, innovate, create, and constantly re-evaluate
Comfortable making recommendations across competing and equally critical business needs
Simplifies, clearly and succinctly conveys complex information and ideas to individuals at all levels of the organization
