Senior Brand Marketing Specialist

Vrbo is looking for a Senior Brand Marketing Specialist to join the Global Brand Strategy team. In this role, you will support the team across a range of initiatives, with a focus on playing a lead support role for our Brand Strategy & Insights function.

You’ll dig into brand and consumer research, brand health data, and creative performance across channels. You’ll turn data into useful insights and content strategies.

You’ll work closely with our creative execution team to brief in and develop new content, while bringing partners from other departments along for the ride.

We are looking for someone with experience and passion for using the power of research, data and insights to tell strong narratives through compelling campaigns, content, and activations.

We want a team-player that is adept at data analyzation, but more importantly is driven to understand what makes people tick and how brand drives the business. The candidate will be tenacious, imaginative, detailed, analytically-inclined, and curious.

You have a proven ability to: independently audit a brand’s presence, inform research that uncovers insights; synthesize large amounts of data; build digestible data dashboards; craft compelling narratives; ask and answer difficult and ambiguous questions; collaborate with ease; support product, marketing, and creative teams with data; learn and adapt quickly.

What you’ll do:

  • Become an authority on the Vrbo brand, products and customers (traveler and host)

  • Analyze existing data and research (qualitative, quantitative, ethnographic) to uncover powerful insights that enable hard-wording business briefs, strategies and macro market plans

  • Develop and build strategic brand performance reporting dashboards

  • Lead creative performance measurement across campaigns, activations and editorial content to facilitate rapid application of any insights

  • Build partnerships with broadcast, OTT, YouTube and social video channel owners to develop performance reads and recommendations

  • Support comprehensive weekly, monthly, quarterly reporting of brand health metrics

  • Articulate and present report results, data analyses and findings to provide insight-led strategies for future brand initiatives and campaigns

  • Structure social listening queries, pull data, and develop key takeaways that Vrbo can action to drive brand relevance in the near and long term

  • Support the development of business/creative briefs and support creative teams before and after the briefing

  • Help the team build out strategy presentations to sell-in new ideas and plans

Who you are:

  • Proven experience (+4 years) as a brand planner, strategist or analyst at a creative agency, research company or relevant client-side brand team

  • Analytical/data driven – you know how to collect and analyze data uncover insights

  • Experience working and building dashboards in tools, such as Tableau

  • Flexibility & willingness to dive into anything thrown your way; desire to learn; open to giving and receiving feedback

  • Ability to balance a high attention to detail with macro critical thinking

  • Experience in multifaceted and matrixed organizations

  • Passion for travel, vacation rentals and Vrbo

  • Able to optimally balance creative and business concerns

  • Inveterate relationship builder with a love of collaboration

  • Maintain a positive energy and optimism that inspires those around you

  • Proficiency in general business, performance, marketing and creative concepts with a talent for presenting these to a wide variety of partners
