Recruiting Manager, Commercial & Functions
We are searching for a Recruiting Manager to lead a team that delivers talent for our professional hiring needs in the Americas for our Commercial & Functions divisions, while personally being responsible for finding great talent for select roles across the region.
You will work directly with senior business leaders, partner across HR, and drive quality hires for positions at various levels. As we grow, it is critical we continue to attract and hire the greatest talent and we need a great recruiting leader who is results driven, confident in their leadership ability, agile, and an excellent communicator.
What you’ll do:
Partner with your manager to define and drive recruitment strategy
Manage team members, including goal setting and performance management
Evaluate headcount execution against forecast
Drive operational excellence within the team
Build and implement sourcing strategies for the business to meet current demand and to build a pipeline for future roles
Manage all aspects of a full cycle recruiting process while effectively using Expedia’s guidelines, systems, and tools
Ensure that business leaders prioritize position requirements and make trade-offs by using solid judgment in balancing quality and speed when filling requisitions
Facilitate intake meetings with leaders to ensure alignment on open positions and to identify the best available sourcing channels
Use current online web technologies to locate, engage, and attract prospective candidates
Identify the top-performing employees at talent competitors and use the right messages to reach high-quality candidates
Build relationships with passive candidates and articulate the Expedia brand to create a compelling story and gain interest
Assess applicant/candidate quality, skills, and fit to find the best suited person for a position
Maintain effective relationships with candidates through the recruiting process including negotiating offers
Act as ambassador of Expedia, demonstrating and articulating our values, culture, work environment, business strategies, benefits, and other areas of interest.
Act as an advisor to partners concerning labor market conditions
Who you are:
BA/BS degree in business, communications, human resources, or related discipline and/or equivalent related professional experience
Familiarity with a highly matrixed environment
Leadership experience in professional recruitment, preferably in a corporate environment
Leadership pipelining and hiring experience
Ability to influence hiring managers by providing value-added recruiting advice and insights
Ability to comprehensively understand the business strategy and connect it to a talent strategy
Capacity to anticipate future talent needs of the organization and build a steady stream of prospective talent
Ability to understand an organization's business model, operations, financial goals, and competitive position
Exceptional networking and team engagement skills
Possess strong skills related to all aspects of a full cycle recruiting process
Excellent organizational and time management skills, including being able to prioritize workload based on business needs
Ability to operate successfully in a highly matrixed organization
Demonstrated ability in exercising sound judgment while leading a team with a high degree of independence
Demonstrated ability to set performance expectations and lead a team to success
