BI Developer III

Our team owns essential planning and portfolio management tools for the entire Expedia Group. We are looking for a creative individual, who must be having strong BI skills and who can maintain the existing data warehousing solutions and enhance its capabilities as per the business needs.

Your role:

  • Build and operate highly available, distributed systems of data extraction, ingestion, and processing of large data sets used by various portfolio management teams across EG.
  • Implement and support core financial datasets to ensure timely access for business partners
  • Evaluate requirements from business owners and product managers, while working closely within the development teams to translate into meaningful reports.
  • Manage integration activities like code review, issue resolution, design & development, requirement analysis, and documentation.
  • Apply agile methodologies and new technology to enhance productivity, quality, and system performance.
  • Use your technical experience and critical thinking to solve process automation problems at scale and ensure that the features deployed have technical integrity and stability.

Skills / Requirements

  • You have experience in SQL Programming - queries, views, stored procedures, and functions. Understanding of RDBMS design concepts and data warehouse design best practices.
  • You have experience with BI technologies like SSIS(SQL Server Integration service), SSAS(SQL Server Analysis service), SSRS (SQL Server Reporting service), ETL, etc.
  • You have experience designing and building APIs
  • Hands-on development mentality with a willingness to troubleshoot and solve complex problems
  • You have experience developing in one or more programming languages (e.g. Python, C#, Java)
  • Proven experience implementing technical designs and applying software engineering standard methodologies
  • Demonstrated ability with detailed knowledge of data engineering and platform architecture
