Expedia Global Payments (EGP) is looking for top engineering talent to help drive the development of our payment’s platforms, seamlessly roll out new payment’s methods, and to continuously raise the bar on our operational excellence and engineering practices. Our roadmap is deep and contains several innovative programs crafted to make our services fault tolerant, reduce the cost of payment processing, and improve both our customers (travelers) and partners (hotels, airlines, etc.) experience. We are well advanced in Expedia’s migration to the Cloud (AWS) and are now looking into supporting multiple regions and further scaling and solidify our infrastructure. What you’ll do:
You will join a very experienced, successful, and high-performing team and will have a unique opportunity to grow to the next level as an SDE
You will get to expand your skills in developing high quality, distributed and scalable software
You will learn best practices and how to constantly raise the bar in terms of Engineering Excellence
Design, develop, document, and thoroughly test your code
Have ownership of software components of the back end (payment web services) or the front-end (admin web UI) depending on the projects in flight as well as your affinities
Create your own automation and reporting tools to provide capabilities around the components / applications you own and will participate to troubleshooting Production issues
Who you are:
3+ years Software Development work experience using modern languages (Java, C#, C++ - Java experience preferred) or Equivalent related professional experience
Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming concepts, data structure, algorithms, and system level programming (including multi-threaded programming)
Strong communication skills in written and verbal form
Experience testing, automating, and instrumenting your code
A degree in computer science or equivalent experience
Prior experience developing and supporting Web Services is a plus
Working knowledge of Agile Software Development methodologies (scrum, XP)
