Senior Product Marketing Manager (Data, AI, Platforms and Systems)

As a member of the Product Marketing team, you'll design go-to-market strategies and value-based messaging, including positioning statements, value propositions, prioritized messages, and CTAs, that are intentional, relevant, and consider the overall end-to-end experience for our key customer segments.

To succeed, you will need to get to know Expedia’s customers and market as well as understand the needs of our internal teams, who are the key partners intended to adopt and maximize the solutions built by DAPS. To do this, we believe insights and data are fundamental, so you will also manage the coordination of research, identify trends, and socialize these observations in a meaningful way to drive a large product organization deliver solutions people love to use.

This role requires exceptional communication and collaboration skills. Due to the entrepreneurial nature of the position, we are looking for members who can help build and scale the team, operating at both a strategic and detailed execution level. Our ideal candidate is creative and collaborative, loves data, pays close attention to detail, is passionate about travel, and has a proven record of delivering results and driving ideas from planning through execution.

Lastly, you'll promote launch activities by coordinating communications and facilitating internal readiness. You will develop content and documentation that supports the entire company, including FAQs, blog posts, landing pages, knowledge articles, and other training materials.


What you’ll do:

  • Become a customer specialist. Study the global market, examine competitors, gather customer feedback, and analyze market trend data to identify customer needs and scope market opportunities

  • Develop GTM strategies, timelines, and goals. Identify target audiences and define key segments for planned product launches. Drive goal alignment and measure success of GTM initiatives by delivering on key factors to get results

  • Encourage exceptional end-to-end customer experiences. Help influence the product roadmap based on what our consumers want, need, and value to build long-term customer advocates, drive business value, and boost customer lifetime value for overall brand Expedia

  • Build value-based messaging frameworks that resonate with our key customers and ladders to our overall brand and organization promise

  • Orchestrate internal readiness across the organization and support teams as they prepare content for launches. Ensure everyone is educated on how the product works, its timeline, and how we talk about it. Review and provide feedback on training and marketing materials provided to support launch

  • Promote the product. Determine its product market fit and craft an appropriate, well-timed communications plan that will socialize the product and help users understand its features and key benefits

  • Coordinate feedback loops to drive the identification and assessment of future product opportunities

Who you are:

  • 3+ years of product marketing or outbound marketing experience within a global internet, ecommerce, or SaaS company

  • Experience leading large, sophisticated projects that require consensus across a wide number of teams

  • Prioritizes outside-in thinking, putting the customer at the heart of decisions, processes, and outcomes

  • Thinks creatively and analytically. Has the ability to distill data, produce compelling business insights, and make impactful recommendations

  • Strong communication skills. Can also communicate technical solutions simply and convincingly to help drive initiatives

  • Works optimally in a fast-paced environment. Shows initiative and drive, while exhibiting exceptional prioritization and time-management skills

  • MBA and experience in the travel industry preferred
