Director – Innovation Trends
The New Partner Solutions team within Expedia for Businesses will be identifying new products, services, and capabilities to bring to our partners, incubating and accelerating high potential opportunities, and setting winning go-to-market models for new offerings. We are hiring for a Director, Innovation Trends for this team!

What you'll do:
Monitor trends for relevancy: Identify what to monitor and how (VCs, Pes, Innovation Hubs, etc)
Own in-sourcing of new product concepts: for consideration and flag relevant trends
Insights Sharing: Drive EG to turn external insights into internal action through impactful readouts
Make recommendations: contribute to business cases and understand trends well enough to make recommendations for go forward action for EG. Present to and seek buy-in from relevant cross-functional stakeholder teams for alignment
Support Build/Buy/Partner Decision: Partner with relevant tech and business leads to determine the path forward
Seek alignment on key trends: Share insights with relevant business and tech teams to identify which trends matter most
Leverage across EG: Keep pulse of EG capabilities and priorities in order to align on the listening process
Who you are:
Bachelor's degree or related field; or equivalent related professional experience (Masters preferred)
5+ years in a business development, external listening, consulting or similar role - 10+ years experience overall
Strong understanding of market and competitive landscape for emerging technologies in travel
Ability to keep pulse on and evaluate trends, and translate into actionable recommendations
Proven track record developing and implementing strategies and business development opportunities and delivering business results
Strong communications and presence with clients/partners
Very strong interpersonal skills (externally and internally at all levels)
Ability to define strategic priorities
Experience working across teams, and leading without direct authority to achieve results
Start-up experience a plus
