Technical Solutions Analyst II

Are you ready to take the next leap in technical knowledge and act as an essential team resource? The Technical Solutions Analyst II helps provide support for connected properties connecting to Expedia Group (Hotel-Extranet Hotels, Expedia-Connect Hotels, Expedia Quick-Connect Hotels) including solving and diagnosing technical support issues, ensuring that hotel partners have accurate connectivity, running and reviewing system and vendor reports to resolve system issues, and to ultimately provide implementation, launch, and post connectivity support for all properties per Expedia Group standards.

Who you are:

  • 2+ years of experience in an analytical role involving strong research and solution design skills in a technology environment

  • A foundational understanding of web technology, especially an analytical understanding of XML and web services

  • Aptitude for data analysis: Excel, basic concepts of SQL. A practical knowledge of databases preferred

  • Good oral and written communication skills

  • Capacity to work independently with minimum supervision within a remote office and coordinate work within the team. Conscientious, self-starter, adaptable, and solid teammate

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel and usage of the Internet

  • Understanding of Splunk also preferred

What you’ll do:

  • Develop an in-depth understanding of the Expedia®Connect, Expedia Quick-Connect, Expedia-Connect 2 connectivity integration systems, and Expedia hotel inventory systems as well as the related business impacts

  • Provide timely and accurate solutions to technical issues for internal and external partners via phone and email

  • Provide support and assistance to Hotel System Technical Support Specialists (Tier 1)

  • Act as a liaison between the frontline Expedia Market Management team (Market Managers and Market Associates) and the technology product development team as well as handle Tier 2 customer concerns

  • Ability to work in a technical 24/7 environment in either 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift support role and bring up to Tier 3 support teams and program managers as necessary. Bring up and work in tandem IT and Operations Tier 2 teams

  • Identify, Research and report Bugs

  • Generate SQL reporting and identify action items, and generate ad hoc database of daily, weekly and monthly reports

  • Maintain status schedule of data completed, data in progress & data waiting to be processed
