Own and deliver tested and optimised code within an operational engineering environment focusing on Infrastructure and Site Reliability
Provide operational support for applications, systems, networks, and security infrastructure
Participate in production issues with an expectation to be active on-call rotation
Basic understanding of architecting resilient and reliable microservice based applications
Experience orchestrating containerised environments using ECS and EKS along with strong expertise in working with Restful API’s
Proven experience in Infrastructure as a Code best practices including CloudFormation and Terraform
Knowledge with multiple data platforms in AWS including RDS and DynamoDB
Experience with Linux administration and engineering
Demonstrable knowledge of TCP/IP, HTTP, web application security, web application firewalls, content delivery networks and experience supporting multi-web tier application architectures
Experience with CI/CD deployment concepts and tools such as Jenkins, Bamboo etc
2+ years experience building applications in Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Cloud Infrastructure solutions like Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud.
AWS Associate or Professional certification is a plus
Detailed problem-solving approach, coupled with strong interpersonal skills and a sense of ownership and drive
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work across disciplines with excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills
