Sales Marketing Manager, TravelAds
Expedia Group Media Solutions is looking for a results-oriented and creative Sales Marketing Manager (SMM) to help us grow our onsite media business globally with a concentration on performance marketing products, including TravelAds, our flagship sponsored listings product.
The SMM will ensure that our marketing and sales teams have what they need to effectively sell or market our products, whether it’s customer demographic data for a specific website like VRBO or snazzy marketing collateral extolling the virtues of TravelAds.
A spirit of partnership is a must-have and is essential to the team’s success. The role is inherently collaborative. You will work closely with colleagues across the sales, sales support, and marketing teams. You are an inventive problem-solver who can move swiftly from concept to implementation and/or resolution. You demonstrate a bias to action, and the ability to balance many small projects successfully while maintaining a strategic view of the Media Solutions business.
What you’ll do:
Support the product's strategic marketing framework with a focus on driving qualified leads through the sales marketing channel.
Partner with the Product Marketing Manager and sales pillars to identify and prioritize the marketing needs of the sales team considering regional needs, business strategy, and product performance
Build sales marketing content and messaging for new product features, thought-leadership initiatives, webinars, and events (one-sheets, email templates, etc.) that will drive advertiser engagement
Serve as a primary point of contact and publisher of content to the Media Solutions sales enablement platform
Partner with and support Sales Excellence and Sales Operations initiatives when needed
Simultaneously handle a variety of projects and details without losing sight of the ‘big picture
Be proactive and able to move forward in a fast-paced, agile environment where processes and procedures are not always completely detailed
Who you are:
2 - 4 years of meaningful work experience in online advertising, business management and/or product management/marketing
Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent years of experience
Proven experience working with multiple internal organizations requiring clear communication, evangelism, and compromise
Experience working directly with a global sales team
Understanding of performance marketing and paid search advertising a plus
Experience with sales enablement platforms such as Seismic and Salesforce a plus
Skilled at balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, energized environment, with a strong bias for action
