Design and implementation of next-generation SaaS using a polyglot of technology
Prototype solutions quickly, researching new technologies, where applicable and collaborate to implement the technical vision
Chip in the creation and consumption of open, standards-based solutions, while working with existing Expedia technologies and infrastructure
Work closely with geographically distributed teams and collaborate with cross team leads to define, implement and consume services/components/modules
Find opportunities for process and tool improvements and drive those from concept to implementation
Focus on operability and assist operations teams in identifying and implementing the appropriate alerts and monitoring for different application components
Promote good development practices that ensure quality while supporting the continuous Delivery model and demonstrating test automation
Lead development teams and mentor and provide guidance to junior developers
Extensive exposure to Spring framework, event sourcing, and system monitoring
Solid understanding of load balancing, caching, database partitioning, caching to improve application scalability
Proven ability to develop and support large-sized internet-scale software systems
Experience in AWS Services or other cloud services
Knowledge of NoSQL databases and cloud computing concepts
Sound understanding of client-side optimization standard methodologies and tools
Experience with the Agile Toolset and Programming Practices
Knowledge of server-side design patterns and continuous delivery principles
Ability to quickly pick up new technologies, languages with ease

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent degree.
