Tech Program Manager III

We are looking for a Technical Program Manager III to join our Pricing and Yield teams(Part of Marketplaces and Yield organization)!

In the Marketplaces and Yield organization, our focus is to create the trusted travel marketplace of choice. We are responsible for building capabilities that inspire travel by providing quality, selection, value and safety for all marketplace participants- that is, our customers, partners, suppliers. We are converging this onto a single platform, developing this for all brands and all lines of business. We operate at the intersection between supply & demand in the marketplace.  The Pricing Optimization team develops and operates a suite of services enabling Expedia Group to provide the best possible deals to our customers by dynamically adjusting prices, leveraging signals from across the platform, all in close collaboration with our partners.

As a Technical Program Manager III, you humbly lead complex projects and deliver simple solutions. You will drive and contribute to medium to large-scale development schedules and road maps from design to release, making appropriate tradeoffs to optimize time-to-market and communicating goals. We are looking for intelligent, high-energy, creative problem solvers to join our technology team. In this role, you will be at the forefront of bringing technology and business together to revolutionize the world of travel - inventing ideas and technologies. What you'll do:

  • Own technical product delivery for cross-functional projects for multiple delivery teams while driving team velocity

  • Collaborate across UX teams, product teams, technical partners, development teams, and other stakeholders to understand and document business requirements and design innovative technical solutions that create customer value.

  • Manage communication and relationships with partners impacted by the program or feature being implemented

  • Excellent project management skills, including active mitigation of risks to scope and schedule, status updates to various audiences, management of tradeoffs to drive satisfactory completion of product/project, and facilitation of planning and governance activities with team

  • Seek and implement continuous improvements into all project processes, including defining the appropriate methodology to motivate teams and track progress

  • Cultivate a collaborative team environment, setting an example for other TPMs and delivery teams

Who you are:

  • At least 3+ years of experience as a Technical Product Manager

  • 5+ years of experience in a technical domain Delivery of a minimum of 1-2 large, cross-functional products/projects Excellent communication skills BS/MS degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline, or equivalent professional experience

  • You bring relevant experience building project plans, requirements specifications and performing data analysis

  • Solid experience delivering production features with cross functional partner teams

  • Proven ability to capture and turn business requirements into user stories, epics and technical requirements and drive discussions among multiple business and technical teams to scope and schedule effort

  • You have solid experience with CI/CD framework and related tools, cloud computing, traffic management and analysis, project management tools, web technologies and SOA (Service Oriented Architecture)

  • highly desired Have a good understanding of AWS or Azure or GCP You have demonstrated experience collaborating with Developers, Technical Product Managers, UX Designers, Product Managers and other stakeholders from broad cross-sections of organizations.
