Director, Product Management
We are looking for a Director to lead our product management for several delivery pods, ranging from back-end and internal facing, such as Business Intelligence to customer facing, such as Car.
You report directly to Hotwire's Head of Product. You drive product strategy across the pods and partner with multiple groups across the organization. The goal is to innovate and inspire changes to the user experience aligning with Hotwire's unique brand promise, all while leveraging the shared capabilities EG offers. You have an inquisitive mindset and desire to continuously push to learn more and seek outgrowth opportunities.

What you’ll do:
You partner with your product and UX peers to create beautiful consumer experiences that are consistent with the brand identity and promise
You lead a team of product managers to take product concepts from idea through validation, shipping, measurement, and iteration
You prioritize and lead the development of new features based on clear criteria
You educate and mentor product & technology professionals on the team. You establish best practices for testing roadmaps, test development, and analysis
You work closely with leaders from the business and supply teams, UX design, analytics, engineering, and marketing (and more) to deliver extraordinary products for our customers. You encourage collaboration with other Expedia teams
You present to senior executives and represent our product strategy with key team members
You build market and competitor awareness among the team. You ensure direct contact with partners and customers across geographies and segments to encourage customer empathy
You set and reinforce product goals. You actively monitor key business metrics and adjust team priorities as appropriate to deliver on financial and customer adoption goals
You find opportunities to improve processes and focus on providing solutions and delivering results
You build, guide, mentor and motivate and retain a group of extraordinary product management professionals
Who you are:
You have a minimum of 5 years' product management experience
Your background is with mass-market e-commerce sites or apps
At least 3 years of experience leading product teams establishing product roadmaps and ensuring teams deliver on key achievements are required
Experience building product forecast models including customer adoption and financial forecasts
Experience in agile software engineering environments and validated ability to partner successfully with engineering teams ensuring prompt delivery
Demonstrated understanding of mobile and web technologies and user experience design patterns, and the innate curiosity and eagerness to keep learning
Deep background with A/B testing methodology and web technology
Deep experience with web and mobile analysis tools, and the ability to directly pull data (e.g., Omniture, Google Analytics, SQL)
Ability to navigate the complexities of multiple internal and external partners
An accomplished team leader, able to hire, mentor and develop high performing teams
Proven ability to deal with ambiguity and work well under pressure to meet deadlines within short time constraints and have superior partner management skills
Strategic thinker combined with planned execution. Excellent problem-solving skills, self-motivation and the capacity to work under pressure and tight deadlines
Bachelor’s degree is required. Master's degree is preferred. MBA is a plus
