Communications Lead, Expedia Services

The Expedia Services Communication team's philosophy is to build knowledge versus noise for our distributed team of 5,000 and the company at large.

We're looking for a tenacious and insightful communicator for this global role, where you will work alongside colleagues to use communication to build strong, positive relationships between leaders and teams. Your efforts will also grow companywide awareness and understanding about Expedia Services led initiatives and EG initiatives.

What you'll do:

  • Communication Consulting: Liaise with a wide variety of partners to understand the needs of the business to develop and execute robust communication strategies, anchored in proven methodologies with clear objectives and embedded measurement.

  • Large-Scale Program Support: Partner with senior communicators to support program managers, the People Team, L&D, Finance, IT, and others around high-impact efforts that span multiple teams and/or require organizational change.

  • Content Creation: Build compelling content for our diverse community to drive two-way communication, understanding, and action through written materials, video, imagery, and more.

  • Event Management: Support employee forums, driving strong interest and attendance through creative promotion, flawless delivery, and compelling content.

Who you are:

  • Strong communicator who can easily translate complex messages to make them compelling and easy to understand.

  • Insightful about how messages are best received and comfortable using that knowledge to guide and support colleagues and leaders across the business to help them achieved desired results/outcomes.

  • Innovative, creative, and encourages new ways of thinking about how to achieve desired outcomes - and proactive, with the drive and determination to succeed despite ambiguity while enjoying building things from scratch.

  • Team-centric and self-motivated builds trust and respect to achieve outstanding shared results in a fast-paced environment with colleagues in multiple countries and time zones.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • 3+ years in a communication-focused role preferred, with some internal communications experience

  • Design and/or video production skills a plus

  • Bachelor's degree – Marketing, English, or equivalent related professional experience
