Product Manager, Marketing API Platform
Expedia is actively shifting our product delivery model to be 'API First' in order to be accessible and extensible from the ground up, at the same time that we are positioning our platforms to grow vertically and horizontally. What you'll do:
In this role you will work across the organization to deliver the platforms and capabilities that enable partners to access and integrate Expedia inventory and booking capabilities in real time via APIs
Dive in with multiple teams and organizations within Expedia to understand their use cases and data needs, and then turn that understanding into clear requirements
Partner with a broad set of users to craft strategy, define vision, prioritize the roadmap, and then represent those throughout the organization
Work across brands, organizations, operations, and technology to deliver a robust and scalable end-to-end solution
Actively establish relationships horizontally and vertically and make transparent decisions that balance a diverse set of sometimes conflicting requirements
Who you are:
Communicate and set expectations clearly with a diverse range and geo dispersed partners
Self-starter who can identify new opportunities, develop strategies to drive growth, and push projects forward
Ability to be conversant with both technical and business teams to represent the needs of one group to the other
Able to see the big picture, while keeping track of the details
Experienced in product management, or technology program management
The right candidate will be able to deeply investigate the data, but will always be more passionate about what the data represents
Previous experience delivering, owning, and/or leading partner-facing ReST, GraphQL, or GRPC APIs
Previous experience in Product or Program Management
Experience organizing and writing partner-facing technical documentation
Experience working with documentation portals (such as Zendesk) as well as some comfort in the extending and updating documentation within pre-existing HTML templates
