Brand Design Manager

The Brand Designer for Expedia Group will be responsible for the creative development of internal- and external-facing assets across print, digital and experiential media. This role will bring the brand to life by infusing the Expedia Group personality across our internal and external communications. As the Expedia Group brand is still rather new, you'll have the opportunity to do the real design work that helps crystallize our visual expression, expand on the brand guideline toolkit that already exists, and inform other creatives across the company on how to create on-brand communication.

What you will do/roles & responsibilities:

  • Build assets for online, print, and physical spaces that adhere to our brand guidelines, usability standards, and the business needs

  • Balance multiple fast-turn, high-priority projects at once with an ability to predict and stick to estimated completion timelines

  • Create design for key experiential moments for employees, including town halls, Inclusion Business Group events, and other core communications initiatives

  • Support development of assets that reflect our overall company evolution

  • Provide recommendations and build documentation on content associated with our brand: photo and illustration libraries, templates, channel insight, and others

  • Partner with communications and content teams in a variety of ways: help them understand the brand, execute on projects directly as a design teammate, and work with external partners to bring concepts to life

  • Maintain our tone and reputation: assets created will reflect the project and infuse fun, integrity, technology, diversity, and travel.

  • Work closely with our agency partners to review quality of work

Who you are:

  • Inspirational creative brain: a passion for imagining and realizing design work that moves the brand forward

  • Outstanding project management with comfort working across tools to record project status

  • Stellar communication skills, including a desire to stay connected with partners and deliver real-time updates whether sharing project ideas, content creation, roadblocks

  • Breadth of design skills across various media and multiple audience types. Demonstrated work across PowerPoint, SharePoint, animation or illustration a plus

  • Interest in staying at the forefront of design, communication and tech trends

  • Ability to synthesize data into logical conclusions and recommendations

  • Comfortable with passionate working environments and tight turn-around times.

  • Responsibility, high-energy, eager to work with other departments and independently

  • Some experience in supporting communications across a matrixed organization a plus

  • At least 4 years’ experience working in Graphic Design at an agency; in-house experience a plus
