Supervisor, Global HR Operations (US Shift)

The HR Ops Supervisor is responsible for building and managing high performing HR operations team directly responsible for the SLAs and company goals for the Global Hub HR Ops Specialist Teams.

You will actively engage with the team to develop performance measurement systems, maintain the team’s productivity and manage the team from people connect standpoint. You will also collaborate with other teams within the organization to ensure HR operations tasks are accomplished ensuring an excellent experience for Expedia employees.

Additionally, the HR Ops Supervisor will be an active member of the Global Hub Operations team and participate in team projects and HR activities for the overall region. The role is quite varied and this individual will be expected to have excellent organizational and communication skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.

What you'll do:

  • Manage a team of HR Operations Specialists, supporting India location:
  • Accountable for the service provided and all operational processes handled by Global Hub Team
  • Cultivating and engaging talent within the team
  • Delivering against the Global Hub operational plan
  • Define key metrics, develop standard operating procedures and drive continuous improvement.
  • Provide decision support and have ownership for forward looking business and operational planning, operational performance scorecard development and managing team’s productivity.
  • Coach and Develop direct reports. Support the growth and development of team members.
  • Create and maintain continuous improvement and goal-oriented work for Global Hub Operations team.
  • Collaborate with regional HR Operations team to meet/exceed service delivery expectations and quality of the deliverables.
  • Collaborate with Regional HR teams during the work transition phase to ensure smooth work transition.
  • Maintain & report success of the transition through regular check on the performance.
  • Manage to and meet/exceed SLA commitments to ensure responsiveness and resolution for the employees.
  • Provide proactive information to the Operations Manager on SLA impacting issues.
  • Monitor incoming volumes and track against performance SLAs.

Who you are:

  • 5+ years experience in supervising Operations team in NORAM or EMEA. HR Operations experience managing teams preferred.
  • Strong results orientation track record
  • Track record in building and managing high performing teams
  • Proven skills in process and program development
  • Understanding of Operations culture and matrices
  • Communicating and engaging with cross-functional teams. Providing immediate support and establishing goals.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Exceptional Operational management skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work well with frequently-shifting priorities.
  • Highly professional written and verbal skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills are necessary, as well as impeccable/professional communication skills.
  • A highly customer-orientated approach, committed to achieving excellent levels of customer service
  • Act quickly to create and implement improvement plans when SLAs at risk.
  • Ability to prioritize, troubleshoot and coordinate multiple tasks while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Advanced knowledge of office and service delivery procedures
  • Ability to build and manage relationships across multiple groups with very diverse backgrounds
