Principal Product Manager
The Multi-Product & Engagement team powers brand, retail, and cross-platform capabilities that build customer-centric and locally relevant travel experiences across all of Expedia Group consumer brands! We work to deeply understand the needs of our travelers and the business goals for our partners to find opportunities that bring value for both. We partner closely with other Expedia Group teams to coordinate delivery of our value propositions through every touch point in the customer journey, specifically focused on trip and app capabilities.
What You'll Do:
Develop a product strategy and portfolio that elevates the native application to become a first-class experience and the travelers’ companion
Lead all aspects of product feature strategies, roadmaps and go-to-market plans within the portfolio
Define app platform leverage, identifying and bringing value to the brand
Seek key areas of opportunities including threats, innovation, and acquisition/partnership opportunities
Mentor and guide others to develop shared performance metrics to ensure efficiency and effectiveness across the organization
Have individual and department accountability for successfully executing as well as influencing others to make progress towards shared goals
Apply storytelling and persuasion to connect vision, strategy and action plans
Be a subject matter collaborating across large groups of partners to address a highly sophisticated problem space and deliver systemic customer and business value, often spanning multiple product areas and/or divisions
Identify ways to simplify, phase and/or improve feedback loops for a system change leading to smooth implementation
Who You Are:
Bachelor's, Masters or PhD degree in Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering or a related Technical field; or equivalent related professional experience
Strong Product Management skills, experienced in leading large product portfolios.
Passionate about breathtakingly crafted and highly functional end to end experiences
Creative, customer centric and experienced in design thinking principals
Experience in mentoring and coaching others
Show deep understanding of customers and what they need, how to segment customers and choose which segments to focus on, and how to iteratively build products meeting target segment needs including effective feedback loops
