We are seeking a highly motivated and flexible Senior Program Manager with a strong background in program management, change management, and communications delivery. This position will be part of the fast-paced and growing People Team Strategic Programs function and will play an integral role in creating and maintaining global products and services in partnership with the Global Total Rewards, Technology & Operations team. Program and projects supported may include one or more of the following critical areas: compensation, operational excellence, benefits, and payroll programs. Projects may rotate between program management employees and due to a matrix structure, the role may support programs and projects of multiple team members.
Global Total Rewards, Technology & Operations supports employees across Expedia Group, in all brands, divisions, and locations. This role will partner with this global team, supporting team members, interacting with internal customers (employees) of all levels and external vendors in delivering our products and services.
What you’ll do:
Create and maintain project plans for total rewards, technology, and operations programs or repeated projects
Ensuring portfolio of work across the team has clear direction, timing and support needed
Responsible for stakeholder and change impact assessments (case for change and expected impact)
Drive and communicate issues, deliverables, dependencies, key project milestones across functional areas and project teams
Direct the activities and workload of team members without direct authority
Responsible for strategically planning, managing, developing and coordinating stakeholder and user communications
For technology-related projects, manage system implementations coordinating work between tech and non-tech teams, gathering requirements, designing tester and user scenarios, completing test plans, facilitating technology-related decisions, and ensuring technology requirements are met
Proactively communicate status and action items to project team members, working cross-functionally throughout HR and with key business stakeholders
May create user-centered communications or training materials catered to specific projects and audiences
Effectively communicate status and issues to leadership
May work with external vendors to develop deliverables, timelines, expectations (e.g., translations firms, creative content agencies, consulting firms)
Collaboration will occur with internal total rewards, technology, and operations team members, internal program team members, corporate communications, HR technology product management, HR senior leadership, and external vendors
Example Deliverables: Project plans, issue and risk logs, decision logs, budget tracking and invoicing, communications plans and draft communications, training plans and draft training materials
Who you are:
Bachelor’s degree (desired) or advanced degree (preferred) in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, Organizational Development or related fields or equivalent related professional experience
5-7 years of experience in program management, an HR center of excellence and/or other HR-related or total rewards program management role
This role could also be a great fit for a client-facing HR professional looking to move into a center of expertise/excellence, gaining exposure and experience across a variety of global total rewards, technology, and operations programs
Excellent organizational skills
Excellent to mastery level skills in Excel and PowerPoint
Comfortable with data analysis and interpretation, HR analytics skills helpful
Experience creating training materials and executing training plans; training delivery helpful
Excellent communications skills (both written and verbal), communicating with all levels across the enterprise
Must be able to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, prioritize workload effectively, and thrive in a dynamic environment
Highly motivated, self-starter, able to work autonomously
International/global project experience preferred
Ability to flexibly work across multiple time zones (early or late meetings)
Demonstrated aptitude for learning new systems, subject matter, and processes quickly
Get it done attitude
