The Account Management team plays a key role in building, maintaining, and optimizing relationships with our travel insurance supply partners. As a Senior Account Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the negotiation, management, and performance of these key supply partnerships. You will also make a direct and substantial impact on EG's P&L through these relationships!
This position will report to the Head of Account Management and Director of Insurance Supply & Product Strategy and will be based in Seattle or Austin.
What you will do:
Build and maintain positive relationships at all levels with all our insurance supply partners
Calibrate supply partner strategy roadmap behind GI&A goals and priorities
Partner with supply partners to ensure high-quality, timely delivery of prioritized initiatives
Identify, monitor, and drive performance for every supply partner (NPS, attach rate, claim frequency, paid claim rate, call frequency, profitability, and more)
Define, develop, and maintain tools/processes to optimize performance (SOPs, SLAs, performance dashboards, etc.)
Seek out and share knowledge of new industry developments and shifts in the competitive landscape
Collaborate with our supply partners and product team to identify connectivity, technical issues/bugs, and regulatory / compliance concerns
Organize clear and effective business reviews, including weekly supplier calls, MBRs, and steering / executive committee meetings
Assist in contract negotiations and contract performance
Explore new opportunities with our supply partners (new products, new brands, new markets, etc.)
Find opportunities to collaborate across a range of internal teams (Product, Revenue Management, Legal, Analytics, Finance, Customer Experience, and Development) in the US, Europe, and Asia
You build natural relationships and possess strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work with a wide range of partners with varying backgrounds
You are a strong problem solver with excellent analytical skills and a bias for using data to drive decision making
You negotiate creatively and can think both strategically, "big picture," and operate in the details
You have the rare mix of intelligence, integrity, proven experience, verbal agility, and tact, which allows you to rapidly earn the trust of key internal and external partners
You consistently deliver results through diverse, complex teams
You are an excellent communicator and influencer with strong organization/prioritization skills
Adept at high-pressure situations and ambiguity
You have a bias to action with a voracious get-it-done attitude
You have 4-8 years relevant work experience in a travel consumer internet, insurtech, or insurance environment, ideally, with exposure to account management, supply strategy, and/or management consulting
You have an MBA or advanced degree
