This role will be critical to helping to build out new businesses while identifying and modeling opportunities to use platform capabilities to power the $2T travel industry. This role will be responsible for partnering with Marketplace & Yield (M&Y), Strategy, and the API/Architecture teams to drive strategic and commercial decisions for M&Y and across the platform. In your role you will partner with the M&Y team providing ongoing Finance business partnership for the leadership team and you will be the Center of Excellence for platform commercialization. Additionally, you will be responsible for all FP&A duties for the Marketplace & Yield (M&Y) Team and will report to the Vice President of P&M Finance.
This role will provide business advisory and finance thought leadership
Develop financial frameworks and enable decision support and trade-offs for investment/resource allocations to drive revenue yield and price opportunities
Partner with P&M business teams as Finance COE to develop and implement new business models relating to API First strategy, commercialization models
Drive M&Y budgeting and forecasting processes, involves coordination/alignment with teams in Retail and TPG that implement M&Y driven programs (e.g., pricing, search & discovery, content)
Lead the development of complex financial modeling, prepare synthesized views to drive focused discussions on platform unit economics performance and value unlock across P&M
6+ years of experience in an analytical role with an emphasis in financial analysis and modeling
2+ years of strategic planning, business development, or investment banking
Strong quantitative and qualitative analysis skills
Strong executive presentation development and delivery capabilities
Comfortable in creating strong relationships with internal and external teams.
Ability to influence and drive leadership to decisions
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting. MBA from top tier school; or Equivalent related professional experience
The ideal candidate will be entrepreneurial, self-sufficient, and strong in more than one or all of the following areas:
Business management, including creating business strategy, owning P&L, and managing commercialization metrics
Support the development of pricing models and help build out commercial terms with our customers and channel partners in support of the sales team and business development teams
Evaluate the potential benefits of acquisitions and support valuation and deal structuring in coordination with our corporate development team
Identify critical metrics and analytical frameworks to understand and drive the business. Build out processes and simple solutions to solve business and financial problems
Communicate with key stakeholders on financial impacts of the business
Work collaboratively across Product, Technology, Operations, Legal, Controllership, and Expedia Group Channel Partners to set up and structure the financial management and tracking of new business units
