Director, Talent Management
This is an exciting time to join Expedia Group’s Global Talent Management (GTM) team! As part of the People Team, GTM is a catalyst in driving EG’s transformation – igniting our high-performance culture and enabling EG's mission to power global travel for everyone, everywhere. The GTM team plays a key role in crafting and implementing the strategy and programs that drive the overall talent agenda in support of short and long-term strategic objectives. Our goal is to attract, retain, and develop the best talent to serve our customers and power EG's success!
We are seeking an experienced Talent Management professional to help us deliver this important and impactful work. In the next year, the Director of Talent Management will partner directly with the business supporting and implementing the enterprise talent agenda while also actively contributing to the design and development of key Talent Management products, such as talent assessment, calibration, succession, career development planning.
What you’ll do:
Collaborate with Global Talent Management team to build relevant, high-impact, scalable Talent products including talent identification and calibration, succession planning, future-oriented organizational capability needs analysis and development planning for future skills
Partner closely with the People Team and business leaders to embed Talent products within assigned business areas
Partner with BU-aligned HR team to support end-to-end talent agenda, organizational development, delivery of global performance cycles, and transformation programs
Ensure business relevance with a test and learn approach - partnering with the GTM team, your BU-aligned HR pod and the business to continually evaluate Talent products for quality, business impact, scalability and sustainability
Partner with product owners to share the Talent landscape for your business, including product successes and improvement opportunities, while supporting methods for ensuring implementation consistency and quality
Use data to identify talent trends and drive informed decision making with your HR pod and business leaders, activate appropriate Talent products, and measure impact
Who you are:
Trusted advisor with proven experience and capability in Talent Management, Leadership Development, and Performance Consulting (preferably in a global capacity)
Analytical thinking and strategic problem-solving skills, with the drive to cut through complexity and turn high-level business requirements and opportunities into effective, impactful Talent products
Bias toward action with keen ability to thrive and get things done in a collaborative, lean, fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous environment
Experience effectively partnering and collaborating with broad group of business partners
Demonstrated eye for business with outstanding skill using data to develop business insights and perform root cause analysis
Positive relationship builder with clear skill in communication, facilitation, and change management; comfortable consulting and influencing at all levels
Natural bar-raiser: curious and passionate about the business context and growth
Experience with Talent Assessment and Development models including Hogan, Insights, 5 Behaviors of a Cohesive Team, etc
Note that this position can be based out of our offices in Seattle or London.
