The API Platform team aims at simplifying the API ecosystem and providing our internal developer community and our partners with the tools and services required to deliver world-class experiences to Expedia Group customers. We work in a fast-paced environment and on highly visible projects, we own the application life cycle from conception to retirement, prioritizing quality and reliability everywhere along the way. We're growing the team and looking for upbeat, collaborative and creative engineers who will join a core group involved in the API evolution and adoption at Expedia Group.
You will collaborate on the development, testing and rollout of new features.
You will work with a team of experienced software engineers on design and technical direction for our products.
You will participate in a community of practice to share and gain knowledge.
You will partner with other divisions in need of API Gateway solutions.
You will work with other platform teams on improving the EG developer experience.
You will own and maintain production systems.
Bachelor's or Masters degree in a Technical field; or equivalent related professional experience.
Moderate strength in Java, understanding of Spring Framework is a plus.
Familiarity working with cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred) is a plus.
Understanding of software development theory and design
Ability to learn quickly.
Ability to test and monitor your own code.
Good problem solving and strong communication skills.
Demonstrates an understanding of how teams’ goals fit a business need.
