User Experience Designer III

The Partner Experience team at Expedia works to ensure exceptional and accessible user experiences for our supply partners. We work to get customers onboarded to our systems, up and running smoothly with our management tools, easily ramped up to meet their specific goals, and overall ensure a delightful end to end customer journey.
As a User Experience Designer III, you will work with a talented team of designers, researchers, content strategists, product managers, and engineers to develop and improve Expedia’s products and services for millions of our customers worldwide, every day.
What you’ll do:
Deliver designs that leverage common visual and interaction design principles and practice, and build appropriate sketches, wireframes, flows, design comps, and prototypes with minimal guidance
Consistently build clear and compelling materials and narratives communicating design rationale to team and stakeholders using customer, business, or competitive insights
Demonstrate empathy and insights about customers based on data and insights from research and other customer data sources
Bring together different partners with varied perspectives to find opportunities to set goals and increase efficiency across organizational boundaries
Collaborate to develop our design system by contributing to and maintaining our pattern library as a way to influence both quality and efficiency for all our products
Who you are:
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a design-related field (eg. Human Factors, Interaction Design, Graphic Design) or at least 5 years of equivalent related professional experience
Skills: Strong in 2 core skills, capable in 2 others: Interaction/visual design, Information architecture, User research, Facilitation, Prototyping, Technical/Platform knowledge, UX writing, Illustration, Motion design
Portfolio: demonstrates sound product thinking through navigation, user flows, interaction design, and information architecture including attention to typography, color, imagery, grid systems, and well-crafted animation/transitions
