Advanced Data Insight Analyst II - Connectivity

Your role will be to support our global Connectivity Operations team that looks after 500+ software companies providing connectivity solutions for properties worldwide and helping them succeed. You will be the main point of contact for data and analytics for our Core OTA connectivity, and will be set up for success to become a true Analytics advisor for the senior leadership team.

What you'll do

  • Partner with Connectivity Account Managers, Connectivity Technical Relations, and Product teams to understand their business needs, and drivers of performance
  • Advise and influence the decision making through the use of data. Develop analytical models to size various business opportunities, estimate impact of various business changes, explain variance in partner performance. Find ways to optimize performance and drive operational excellence and performance improvement using data
  • Query complex SQL-based databases, extract data from multiple data sources and combine into one used for model building or analytics. Run thorough analysis, (e.g. investigating correlation between variables), and visualizing insights in an intuitive manner
  • Frame business challenges as an analytics problem and translate into a concrete set of analytical tasks
  • Pick analytically valid approaches, appropriate in terms of level of effort, favoring iterative delivery that solve for the objective, not the ask
  • Apply common statistical methods (e.g. hypothesis testing, linear and non-linear regression, multivariate analysis, clustering, causal impact, time series, etc.) and interpret results
  • Translate complex data into meaningful insights to drive actions. Establish robust automated performance reporting (Tableau, Excel, SQL, AWS).

Who you are:

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or other advanced degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Business or other scientific or technical field, otherwise relevant experience is applicable
  • Relevant professional experience includes driving significant performance improvement from insights derived from data, building and maintaining a data science project/product in production environments
  • Knowledge of intermediate SQL and higher, familiarity with Python / R, and visualization tools (Tableau and equivalents).
  • Experience in fundamentals of big data architecture (streaming events, data lakes, analytics engines) and relational database models
  • Competency in some areas of statistics requiring limited supervision. Understanding of both Frequentist and Bayesian statistics
  • Display business acumen, critical reasoning skills. can-do attitude and attention to details
