Manager, Accounts Payable

Egencia is looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to effectively lead and help evolve this global function to meet the future needs of a rapidly growing and dynamic business, while delivering operational excellence and proactively driving continuous improvement in execution. This person will join our Fin Ops team, being responsible for all aspects of the Egencia AP function supporting a multibillion-dollar global portfolio.
The ideal candidate will effectively communicate with, influence, and drive accountability across the team and key business partners. They will have a proven ability to work through ambiguity, think broadly while paying attention to financial and operational details, proactively identify and resolve issues, and drive execution.
Directly lead and develop team responsible for daily Corporate AP and Vendor Reconciliation processes including regular weekly & monthly operational reporting (measured by Key Performance Indicators)
Support, guide, and closely collaborate with supervisors responsible for managing our daily Merchant AP and Reconciliation processes by driving process improvements efforts
Proactively identify the need for, design, and implement both operational & Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) controls across AP function to effectively mitigate risk
Act as our primary AP operational project focal for the new complex and/or high impact initiatives by reviewing and assessing financial impacts with a cross-functional team, and designing new financial processes that meet audit standards
Provide support on prioritization and impact assessments, appropriately assessing business impact and sizing opportunities
Ensure General Ledger accounts for AP are reconciled and certified monthly, and trends are investigated, explained, and appropriate action taken
Have a minimum of 5 years of financial operations and/or accounting experience with progressive growth in responsibilities
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent related professional experience
Be proficient in all MS Office 365 applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint. Oracle experience is a plus
Have strong written and verbal communication skills and proven success with effectively leading a financial operations team
Strong team developer and talent coach who thrives with developing their teams
Embraces and quickly adapts to a rapidly changing business environment while maintaining focus on key business objectives
Ability to extract key messages from data and provide actionable insights, and draw conclusions even with incomplete data
Ability to use your understanding of recent trends/conversations to identify potential insight and draw links between multiple workstreams without being asked to do so
Proficient in identifying and framing opportunities in a structured, fact-based way that clearly outlines options, risks, and trade-offs
