Product Manager - Global Tax Platform

Part of the e-commerce group, Ordering Services is looking for a Product Manager responsible for TACOS (Tax and Compliance Ordering Services), you will work with a distributed team to build products and features that use new technologies to improve accuracy and compliance.

Tax & Regulatory are at the center of everything Expedia does. We support and help all Line of business.

What you’ll do

  • You will weigh and trade off product scope vs. predicted metrics impact
  • You will use frameworks with some guidance to educate partners and leadership on product feature decisions. You will have a point of view and recommended approach hear and incorporate feedback
  • You will partner with stakeholders and manager to develop new insights for research, testing and feedback loops to better understand and quantify customer challenge areas
  • You will manage backlog for product area and balances new features, bugs and tech debt
  • You will communicate a compelling rationale and narrative to peers and partners
  • You will decipher which policies/processes/user experiences/financial models/technology will impact customers and the business based on potential solutions and understands high-level relationships across these factors
  • You will make system changes leading to desired outcomes that are crafted to scale and ensures reporting (including feedback and/or data loops) is in place to gauge customer, business and system impacts

Who you are

  • Product management experience in a technology or ecommerce environment
  • Experience delivering data and analytics software products with a focus on user experience
  • Self-directed and comfortable looking after ambiguity and multiple complicated priorities
  • Experience with API products are a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required
